Style Envy: Ellen Degeneres

Hey all, 

This woman is amazing. She's funny (read: hilarious), caring and powerful all at the same time. She is a true public figure, and although her style isn't something that is for me personally, I still think that it is beyond amazing. 

Ellen's love for menswear was apparent long before it became 'cool', and although she has had some fashion faux pas along the way - she has definitely developed a look that is iconic. She power dresses like nobody else; and frankly, wears mens clothing better than most men. 

She is one of those people you look at in awe, saying "how on earth does she do it?!". 

Tailored to perfection! 

They are such a gorgeous couple! 

The outfit on the left is one of my favourites of hers. 

Proof that Ellen can pull it off better...

She is one of my idol's and I can only hope that I will meet her one day. I can imagine that knowing her personally would be something else.

Style Envy: Lemon Breeland from Hart of Dixie

Hey all, 

I adore Hart of Dixie, and Rachel Bilson may just be one of my favourite people in the world. Sometimes I feel that I get so caught up staring at Dr Hart with envy that I completely forget about the also gorgeous Lemon Breeland, played by Jaime King. Although these two leading ladies have completely different style, they are both still most definitely stylish. 

Lemon is a true southern belle who wears 50's inspired frocks and divine floral prints, matched with hats of course...and a cardigan or two. 

Gorgeous, classic makeup. 

So bright and lovely! 

Not many people can wear this much floral and get away with it! 

Her hair is always perfect, ahh! 

So quirky! 

 Although this woman (the character) drives me insane on the show at times, I must admit that her style is very close to perfect! It's a wonderful mix of the old and new, incorporating a little bit of vintage glamour into everyday style.

Have a Spare $100,000 Each Month?

Hey all, 

Who has a spare $100,000USD laying around each month? I sure as hell don't, but if I did, I would seriously consider using it to rent out this amazing New York townhouse. It's owned by the director of Texas Chainsaw massacre (as well as other feature film masterpieces) and his wife, and they currently reside elsewhere - so anyone who can afford it (haha), can rent it out on a monthly basis! 

It's not for sale as they may move into it at a later day, the lucky little things! 

I have to say that this is my DREAM home, extra emphasis on the dream. I have looked at these pictures so many times and I cannot find one single fault! 

Sorry, this is going to get picture heavy! 

Library *tears of joy* 

An indoor pool? Why not! 

I don't think I would ever leave the rooftop garden!

Okay, so by now you know what I am talking about! This place is divine and the architects/owners have worked absolute wonders with it.

Style Envy: Kimbra

Hey all, 

I've been laying in bed at home all day sick and instead of giving into misery I have been stalking clothes, shoes, accessories and of course beauty related products of every description. Of course this stalking required a soundtrack, so I youTubed some Kimbra tunes and off I went! 

This is when I realised just how much I adored her style (along with her musical talent of course). It's quirky, feminine, vintage inspired, individual and just down right wonderful. 

I lust after a day when all women dress this fabulously! 

I could never get away with a print like that, fabulous! 

I loved this dress on her so much, that I hunted for a picture of it for hours (above picture)! 

She's devine, mega girl crush right here!

Style Envy: Rachel Bilson

Hey all,

Rachel Bilson. 

I have always been a fan of this woman - I loved her in The O.C, I loved her appearances in How I Met Your Mother and now I love her in Hart of Dixie. She's fast talking, quirky, adorable and just plain damn loveable. Also, I must say that I have always had a soft spot for her because she's the same height as me; us short people have to stick together! 

Anyway, on top of the fact that I have fallen in love with her as a character and as an actress, I can't help but find myself lusting after her wardrobe and glaring at her hair with envy! This girl know's how to dress, both on set and off! 

And her hair? I won't even start to go there, or I may cry. 

Can someone please explain to me how her hair even does that?! 

Oh that blazer!  

She always looks so natural, yet so darned beautiful! She's definitely one of those stars I've looked up to for years, and I'm not even much of a 'celebrity' person! 

Now, Hart of Dixie fans, wouldn't they make the cutest couple?!

Gwyneth Paltrow's Tribeca Apartment - Luxe Alert!

Warning: You will either try to marry Gwyneth or start hating her with an unreasonable and unexplainable passion after viewing the following images. 

I was almost in tears whilst looking at this pictures. 

This apartment reminds me of fairytales, childhood dreams, marie antoinette and all other things fabulous. 

I can imagine myself floating down the chandalier lit halways in Marchesa, lazing on the hanging sofa in a kimono and eating in the girly diner style booth seats in retro Dior. Oh, sigh. 

A hanging sofa? Oh, I wish! That is one of the most amazing living spaces that I have set my eyes upon, although I would hate to think what my black cat would do to all that white!

Can anyone else not stop staring at the wallpaper? 

Yes, this place could definitely be mine. 

I must say, my hat does go off to Miss Paltrow. This place looks divine! Elegant and sumptuous, without being overindulgent and eyesore. I wonder if it’s her own creation or that of an interior designer who will now be known as my god? 

At least, it would be awful to clean, right? As if she cleans it herself! Anything to help me sleep at night!

On My Lips: Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate in #11

Hey all, 

Kate Moss's range of lipstick shades for Rimmel are quickly becoming some of my favourites. I love the formula, the packaging, the colours and to be honest, I have always had a soft spot for Kate Moss (celebrity crush anyone?)! I have almost every shade now, except the famous red #001 which always seems to be sold out when I'm trying to hunt it down! 

Bright red lipstick location troubles aside, I am currently adoring the berry #11 red! I have always enjoyed my red lippies and this one is no exception. It's been featured in almost every FOTD and I just can't seem to put it down. 

Shade Description: An extremely wearable, berry red shade with hints of pink. Intensive colour. 

Is available in 9 shades. 

What I Love

- Gorgeous, wearable shade.

- Intensive colour - especially after a few swipes. 

- Lips look soft & moisturised. 

- Goes on smoothly.

What I Am Not So Crazy About 

- Needs to be applied with a lip brush unless you are super talented! 

- I have found that this lipstick starts to sweat a lot in extreme Brisbane heat. 

- I personally prefer lipsticks that have names rather than numbers. I think lipsticks deserve personality, don't you?

I have found that recently I have often needed a daily dose of Alexa Chung. She's gorgeous, fun, quirky and best of all, she can write! I think that she is talented in so many wonderful ways, and has unique style. 

For those of you who don't know who she is (few and far between I am sure), she is a british model, TV presenter and contributing editor at British Vogue. She is also frequently seen gracing the front rows of fashion shows, at fashion events, and mingling with the rich, famous and fabulous!
