Trilogy Everything Balm

Hey all,

I usually have combination-oily skin, but in Winter it takes a stroll down the 'dry as hell' route. Chuck the flu into the mix and I end up with flaky, painful skin - especially around my nose. I have loved Trilogy products for a long while, and use their Cream Cleanser, Antioxidant Rose-hip Oil and Vital Moisturising Cream. Knowing this, a friend recommended that I tried this balm to tackle the problem bits around my nose, and I have used it for that and so much more!

What Is It?
- An all purpose balm containing Omega 3 & 6, natural super emollients and a range of vitamins and antioxidants.

What Can It Be Used For?
- Soothing dry skin.
- All over nourishing & protecting.
- Healthy nails.
- Massage oil.
- Lip conditioning.

What I Love
- Extremely versatile - can fix almost everything.
- Smells gorgeous.
- Packed full of natural ingredients.
- Adorable packing (we all know that I am a sucker for it).
- Reasonably priced.

Where to Buy: Priceline, Adore Beauty

Price: $18.95 for 45ml and $29.95 for 95ml.

I love this stuff! When they said it was multi-purpose, they weren't lying. And not only can it be used for a range of things, it works well for all of them as well. I have used it for problem dry bits, as a cuticle oil, as lip balm and it calms down bites, cuts and burns a lot as well!

Keep one at home, and keep one in your bag - it's handy as hell!

Hope you all have a great night! xx

Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus Range - Review

Hey all,

Sorry for the little hiatus from blogging! Things have been hectic around here; exciting, but hectic! Anyway, hopefully everything will now be back to normal, and you will be hearing from me as often as ever!

I thought that I would restart with an exciting skin care product review! I have been dying to publish my review on these range of products, so am definitely excited to have finally done so.

I have been struggling with dry skin this winter! I usually have combination skin, and excessively dry skin has never been a problem for me in the past. But this winter, flaky and tight skinned hell has broken loose.

I have tried quite a few products over the last couple of months, in an attempt to get my skin back under control; some have helped, others not so much. This range of Jurlique products has most definitely helped!

Rose Moisture Plus Collection

Moisturising Cleanser

What I Love
  • Removes the majority of make up easily (will still need to remove eye makeup seperately though)
  • Natural ingredients, so it is better for your skin.
  • Australian owned.
  • I adore the smell.
  • Cleanses without drying.
Moisturising Cream

  • Highly moisturising.
  • It seemed to improve my skin’s radiance after a couple of weeks.
  • Dense cream, so a little goes a long way.
  • Natural ingredients.
  • Australian owned.
Due to having combination skin, this probably isn’t something that I could use in summer, as it is quite moisturising.
Rosewater Balancing Mist

This is something that I remember using a long time back, and I do remember loving it back then. Nothing has changed - I still think that it is fabulous!
  • Refreshes and hydrates skin, without removing makeup or making oily.
  • Great for travel (especially air travel)
These products seem to work very well with my skin this winter, and it will be interesting to see how my skin handles them as the weather warms up. I think that they are all well formulated, and I love knowing that I am using more natural products. I also ran off to the shops and purchased the Jurlique Herbal Recovery night cream, so a review on that will be coming soon!

What is your favourite Jurlique product?

Hope you all have a great night! xx
* Products were provided for consideration. All opinions are honest, and my own.

Hey all,

Another month, a few more empties! This emptying kick that I am on is going great, and it feels surprisingly rewarding! Nothing better than knowing you used a product to the last drop; makes me feel as though my money is being put to good use (that's my excuse anyway!).

The empties of April!

Intensely moisturising, soap free and pH balanced. Especially great for winter months!

Repurchase: Every 3 weeks.

10. The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter
Wonderful smell (so very good!) and extremely moisturising! Lather it on and enjoy.

11 & 12. L'oreal Elvive Total Repair Shampoo and Conditioner
My favourite drugstore combination, works really well for my hair and doesn't create build-up!

There are my empties for yet another month! I seem to be getting through products like crazy at the moment!

Have you tried any of these? Love/hate them?

If you have an empties post, link it below - I would love to read it!

Hope you all have a great night! xx

Lust Have It! - November Box

Hey all,

I'm defying doctors orders...and blogging! I am just not one to sit still - there are things to do, people and places to see! But thankfully, I am feeling a lot better and I am grateful for all of your kind words and thoughts! I probably won't be blogging as frequently as usual in the coming weeks, but I am back!

On to the review!

My November lust have it! box arrived about a week ago, and what can I say? Another box, another disappointment. I had such high hopes for lust have it!, but they just don't seem to be living up to my expectations. The products this month are similar to what was in the box last month - and they just aren't exciting me! They are nice products, just nothing that I have been dying to try and I don't think the products are much suited to me.

I will give them another month to see if the boxes improve. Following the time-tested system of 'Three strikes and you're out".

What Was in the Box
RoC Complete Lift Daily Moisturiser - $59 (50ml)
Nude by Nature Lip Liner in Chique - $14.95
Lancome Tresor Midnight Rose Fragrance - $79.00 (30ml)
Hawley International Miracle Shine 2 Step Nail Shiner - $6.95
Kerastase Nectar Thermique Leave In - $39.50 (150ml)

On the beauty box front, my BellaBox for this month has been shipped and I am super excited for its arrival. I have also heard great things about I Love This Box, so I might think about looking into subscribing if Lust Have It doesn't work out.

I am indeed obsessed!

Hope you all have a great day! xx

p.s - My blog has gone dynamic! I'm loving the new pink layout, but I would love to hear what you all think!

My Skin's Lifesavers: October

Hey all,

This month, out of absolutely nowhere, my skin decided that it hated me and caused all sorts of trouble. I've generally had great skin my entire life, so it came at a bit of a shock and left me extremely frustrated and annoyed. Thankfully it has now settled down, leaving me with the opportunity to see the bright side of all this trouble!

I tried out a lot (and I mean a lot!) of skin care items while hunting for something to get my skin back under control, and have found some goodies that I absolutely adore! (And others that I don't, but there is no need to mention those!).

So, I thought I would blog about what my skin is soaking up this month!

My Skin's Lifesavers this October

Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit - Price:

I have never really been much of a fan of Neutrogena, but I was in Priceline on a bad skin day and was starting to get desperate! I can't use Clean n Clear or Clearasil because my skin just can't handle them, and because of that I am always a bit wary of things that are anti-blemishes etc. I saw this cleanser right at the top of the Neutrogena display, and thought why not? It was only $14 it wasn't going to kill me to try it! I am so glad that I did!

I started noticing a difference in my skin quite quickly, and after 3 days my skin was visibly clearer, softer and smoother. It didn't dry out my skin too much when used with a good moisturiser, and I didn't develop any irritation - which is great! It also smells great! I am going to definitely keep using this cleanser for a while.

Yes to Carrots Gentle Exfoliator - Price:
Yay for natural products that work! As most of you who prefer things natural would know, sometimes, plants just can't cut it - this works a treat though!

Yes to Tomatoes Daily Balancing Moisturiser - Price:
Keeps the oil at bay, and helps get rid of those pesky blemishes!

Neutrogena Rapid Clear 2in1 Fight & Fade Gel - Price: $13.99
Zaps blemishes at their source! Clearer skin in 8 hrs (really!)

Simplicite Exfoliating Face Treatment - Price: $41.40

I have been using this as a 'rub-off' mask 1-3 times a week, and I really see an improvement in my skin after using it. My skin appears brighter and feels smoother. You can buy Simplicite online, or at Myer.

Hope you all have a great day! xx
