Pretty in Pink

I am giving centre stage to one beauty today who has been a perfectly delightful performer in Mygardenhaven, my diva, the pink hibiscus!

This is my pretty pink prima donna  all dressed up in her finery and flaunting her pretty frills and finery in my garden. This close-up of the pink double-petalled hibiscus is dedicated to Laura at Macro Friday, Tootsie at Fertilizer Friday, Sandra at Today's Flower and  Beverly at Pink Saturday.

Isn't she lovely?

The prima donna imagery I am using for this hibiscus inspires this haiku which I dedicate to Haiku Heights for the prompt, 'Poison'

beauty is a curse
fawning jealousy veils
  poison  in each smile

Rose Apples in Abundance

For Fertilizer Friday I'm flaunting my rose apples. They all look just darling, but not all of them were good enough to eat. I am so frustrated that 30% of the fruits fall to the ground, and 50% of those on the trees had worms in them. What went wrong? I had wrapped most of the bunches with paper wrappers to protect them from being infested by pests. Evidently that was a futile course of action. My apologies to those whom I had meant to distribute the rose apples. Is there anyone out there who can offer me a solution to this problem?

Half-ripe on the tree and full of promises.

Precious pink offerings for Pink Saturday at Beverly's.
Three baskets filled with pink hope.

Here's a macro for Laura's Macro Friday.

Rosy, juicy and a pleasure to see...

Well, not all my great expectations were dashed. The 20% left that were salvaged, were sweet and  juicy. Those who had a taste were most satisfied.

My Cherie Amour

Today's flowers are from my  collection of Unforgetttable Blossoms from my New Zealand Springtime Romance. These are my favourite pink blossoms from the previous spring. These pink beauties were encountered in different parts of New Zealand. Yes like the proverbial sailor, I had left behind a blushing flower in every port!

Oh I was lucky enough to see my cherie amour, Cherry Blossoms in the North Island and down in the South Island as well.

It makes my heart flutter just to see this beauty!

Just love that pattern of print on the ground...even the shadows cast are beautiful.

I'll miss this a lot !

We'll meet again, my cherie amour, in another spring, maybe in another country, but till then, I'll see you in my dreams.
