Runway Looks I'm Loving: Spring 2012

Hey all,

Just a quick post!

It's no secret that all us fashion and beauty loving women (and men of course) look to the runway for inspiration each season. Some looks we love, some we loathe.

Here are the runway trends I've adored so far this year!

Chanel

Fresh faced, and wet haired - I wish I resembled something vaguely similar when I exited the shower in the morning.

D&G

The D&G line is closing, and they are definitely going out with a bang. The models look like absolute perfection.

Dolce & Gabbana

 Gah!!

Gucci

If only I could pull this off!

Jason Wu

Sexy, feminine & edgy.

Michael Kors

Bronzed beauties!

Which one is your favourite? And, what is inspiring you this season?

Hope you all have a great night! xx

Essence Blossoms Etc... Eyeshadow Review

Hey all,

I may have just been living under a rock for the past couple of months, but I had absolutely no idea that Essence products could be found in Australia! I was definitely on the verge of jumping in joy when I spotted a small range of Essence products at my local target when out shopping for lamps the other day! (Yes, no matter what I am shopping for - I will find myself in the make up section!)

They had the Blossoms Etc... collection and a rock chick collection (sorry, can't remember the exact name) just placed on cardboard displays on one of the counters. The Blossoms Etc... collection was full of gorgeous and feminine spring colours, I just had to pick up all three eyeshadow's!

From left to right: Bloom-a-Loom, A Hint of Mint & Forget-Me-Not

Aren't the colours absolutely gorgeous?!
What I Love
- Gorgeous, feminine colours that are perfect for spring/summer!
- Go on super smoothly
- Silky, soft finish
- Highly pigmented
- Long lasting
- Cute packaging & gorgeous detail on the shadow's themselves
- Cheap

What I Am Not So Crazy About
- Not so long lasting without a primer, I definitely recommend using one
- I wish that there was a wider shade range
- Hard to find where I live!

Swatches (without & with flash)

Price: $3.99(AUD)

Where to buy: I have only found these in the Brisbane City Target & even then they were nearly all sold out! I really wish they were easier to find, they are absolutely gorgeous!

These are definitely great shadows, and at $4 a pop, they are definitely worth checking out! I think the colours are absolutely precious and have already been using them all quite frequently! I also picked up a couple of Blossoms Etc... nail polishes.

Does Kitten Approve?

Yes she does!

Hope you all have a great day! xx

MAC Lady Danger - Review

Hey all,

This is definitely one of my favourite MAC lippie shades, and also my go to red lipstick for this summer! I'm a massive fan of red lipstick and have an extensive collection from various brands, but in the past few weeks every time I want a red lip, this is the one I reach for. I find that it brightens up any of my spring/summer looks!

It's a gorgeous, playful and wearable orange red, that I feel compliments any complexion. It's playful without being too overpowering. As most MAC lippies, the quality is great! It goes on smoothly, looks smooth and bright, doesn't smudge and lasts till the cows come home!

This summer is all about colour, so give it a try! Remember: a little danger is good for you!

Where to Buy: Myer and David Jones

Price: $36.00

First pictures of myself I've put up! Eeek!
Hope you all have a great day! xx

New Camera!

Hey all,

I was going to put up a review today, but after taking some pictures that didn't turn out so well I decided that I am going to head out and buy a camera tomorrow! The reviews will follow soon after, yippie!

Also, acquiring a new camera means that my YouTube videos will start shorty (I will let you all know when). I hope you all check them out, and tell me what you think. I am new to being and camera and all that and would greatly appreciate your feedback!

As for the camera, I am settling for a Sony Cybershot (cannot remember the model number, I am not the best with stuff like that). It is 16MP, and as HD video capabilities which is all I need at the moment. Best of all, it isn't going to send me completely broke!

Btw, as most of the rest of my belongings, this new camera will be purple (another yippie for that!)

This was just a quick update to let you all know that reviews and better pictures are on their way! As well as videos! It is all getting very exciting.

- MAC, Australis, E.l.f & Sleek reviews to come! As well as favourite spring fragrances & beauty read of the month!

Thanks for reading & I hope you all have a great day! xx

A Joy To Behold

The Wel
The Wellington Botanic Garden was delightful. From the East Entrance, we travelled along William Wakefield Way past the Succulent Garden, the Rock Garden until we got to the Fragrant Garden. Every plant was at its best behaviour. We were pleased to make their acquaintance. However, when we got to the Main Garden, all decorum was abandoned as we excitedly approached all manner of tulips in full bloom in this part of the Botanic Garden. Here, the seasonally changing floral displays are featured, and we were so fortunate to be able to feast our eyes on a host of multi-coloured tulips. It was truly a joy to behold.
